About
Welcome into the webring! This is a dark-mode Hacker News-inspired feed for the chronically ill indie web. The webring aggregates content from various sources relevant to, and by the chronically ill community, providing a centralized platform for sharing and discovering content.
Rules
- The webring is open to anyone who identifies as chronically ill but the content does not have to be relevant to chronic illness.
- The webring is a place for the chronically ill to share and discover content that is relevant to them, regardless of the topic. It is pro free speech and open to all content that is not illegal or harmful. The discretion is with the webring maintainers to review any content that gets flagged to us.
How it works
Feeds are checked every hour or so automatically, and new posts are added to the site. Only the latest post from each feed on each run is added, this is to avoid flooding/spamming and overwhelm.
- If you publish a blog post every day each post will appear on the homepage as they are published.
- If you want to share an older post, you can update the published date in your feed and it will be added to the homepage on the next run.
- nIf you publish 3 posts in one hour, only the latest one will be added to the site.
Submissions
Create a GitHub issue in this repo with the feed URL and a brief description of the source. If your feed is accepted, it will be added to the webring and will start appearing on the homepage.
If adding a GitHub issue is too much for you, you can also email the feed URL and a brief description to submission@nuchronic.uk.
Or by contacting thechelsuk on social media.
Removals
If you would like your feed removed from this site, please email removals@nuchronic.uk and your request will be actioned as soon as adequate spoons allow.
- We can remove an individual item, if it has also been removed from the source feed.
- We can remove the feed entirely if you no longer want to be part of the webring that will stop future items being added.
- We can remove all historic items from your feed but this will take more time and effort to do, so it may not be possible to action this request immediately.
